Liverpool provided the only success story in an otherwise disastrous Uefa Cup second round for the English clubs. Their passage to the third round was earned with a 2-2 second-leg draw in Valencia that secured an away-goals victory.
Now the Reds face a tricky away match against another Spanish side, Celta Vigo, the team that knocked out Aston Villa in the last round and who have made a very strong start in their domestic league.
