Chile served notice of their ability with a 2-0 win against England at Wembley in February. Both Chile's goals that night were scored by Marcelo Salas , who joins Lazio of Italy next season. Salas and Ivan Zamorano scored 22 goals between them during Chile's qualifying campaign, and together they form a formidable striking partnership. The Austrian team has few stars, although several of the squad ply their trade in German football, including playmaker Andreas Herzog.
