In the last 12 months the American
Criminal Justice system has executed 56 convicted murderers. Also in the last 12 months Tim Robbins has written and directed a film starring his partner Susan Sarandon as a Catholic nun who works as a spiritual adviserto murderers awaiting execution on Death Row. The film is called Dead Man
Walking and is based on the work of a nun called Sister Helen Prejean.
This follow-up to an Everyman film shown last year, tells the story of Sister Helen as she continues herwork amid her growingfame and prominence in the anti-death penalty movement. It features clips from the film and interviews with Sarandon and Robbins.
