Championship from the Guild Hall , reston.P David Vine presents frames 8 to 14, as the long struggle continues for one of snooker's most illustrious titles. At this stage in last year's final, Stephen Hendry had got off to a flying start taking six of the first seven frames.
However, it was not a true indicator of the drama to come: the Scot only clinching the title 16-15 in the deciding frame.
For the finalists, tonight's is the sixth match in two weeks of competition. Concentration, willpower and stamina are now as important as talent as they strive towards the 16 frames required for victory.
