Barry Norman presents his personal review of the week's cinema releases.

Working Girl is a romantic comedy which revolves around the lives of Melanie Griffith, an ambitious secretary, Sigourney Weaver, her ruthless boss, and Harrison Ford, the man romantically involved with both women. It has been hugely successful, both commercially and critically, and has been nominated for six Oscars including Best Film and Best Actress for Melanie Griffith. The Academy Awards ceremony takes place in Los Angeles tomorrow night and Barry Norman will be assessing the chances of Working Girl and the other contenders.
