The Newsround team takes a closer look at one of the big stories, events or personalities making eye-catching news. This week:
Roger Finn reports on: power to the People
Following a major report at the end of January, the Government is soon expected to give the go-ahead to build a controversial nuclear power station, Sizewell B, in Suffolk. It will be the first of its kind in Britain, and the aim is to provide cheap electricity. But the plan has brought protests from people worried about safety, the effect on the local countryside, and whether it is really worthwhile. Director JULIEN COUSINS Editor ERIC ROWAN

starring John Hurt, Anthony Hopkins, Anne Bancroft, Wendy Hiller, Freddie Jones
1884. Frederick Treves, an ambitious young London surgeon, is intrigued by a sideshow freak billed as the 'Elephant Man' and, after the exhibition is closed by the police, pays the owner for a private viewing. To his amazement, he finds behind the appallingly disfigured and brutalised exhibit, an intelligent and sensitive person whose rehabilitation he undertakes. Treves's efforts to reconcile society with Merrick is the subject of this true story of courage in the most terrible circumstances, with John Hurt brilliantly portraying the trapped soul within the 'Elephant Man'.
