Jasmine, A Death Too Many Last March, Jasmine Beckford's stepfather was jailed for beating her to death. It was the first of a series of terrible cases of child abuse which have shocked the country this year. Jasmine was in care when she was killed. Social workers were her legal parents, but they only saw her once in the last 10 months of her life. A major public inquiry has just finished investigating Jasmine's case.
