When nightclub singer Ruby sees her lover shot by gangsters, the shock brings on the birth of her baby. Sixteen years later, a series of horrific murders occur at the drive-in cinema Ruby now runs. Her horror is increased after she suspects that supernatural forces are at work and that her mute daughter is somehow connected with the killings.
