Gloria Pullen inherited profound deafness from many generations of her family. Persecuted at school, hands tied to prevent her using sign language, Gloria refused to conform to a hearing world where her language was condemned as inferior to spoken English.
Gloria's story, told in British sign language, reflects the experiences of Britain's deaf communities who are now beginning to recognise 'a certain pride.'
