The Spanish side Barcelona, who won the trophy in 1979, will enjoy passionate support in their own stadium which is the venue for the opening ceremony of the World Cup Finals and has a capacity of 125,000. Five members of the Spanish World Cup squad are in the side which knocked out Tottenham Hotspur in the semi-finals.
Their Belgian opposition have never won a European competition but include the Dutch star Aarie Haan in their line-up.
