This week: Exeter
Arthur Negus and a team of Britain's leading experts from the world of art and antiques continue on the road. They meet the public informally and discuss treasured possessions brought along for assessment.
The programmes, presented by Hugh Scully , are full of information, excitement and surprises as people discover the truth about objects that have, sometimes, been gathering dust for years.
Perhaps the biggest surprise is that there are more ' finds' than disappointments.

Some hard architectural decisions will soon be made for London's South Bank. Bob Hoskins , current star of the National Theatre's Guys and Dolls, is a Londoner with a passionate interest in what happens to his city. He takes a riverside walk and comes to some disenchanted conclusions about what architects and developers have already done to one of the most important sites in Britain.
Stephen Games looks at the competition entries for the important Vauxhall site and says what he thinks Michael Heseltine , Minister of the Environment, will approve. Whatever happens, the look of Britain's capital is already changing dramatically.
Dame Janet Baker , Britain's best-loved mezzo-soprano, retires from the operatic stage this summer. Tonight she talks about a lifetime in opera and sings a special arrangement of ' Plaisir d'amour' and the famous lament from Gluck's Orpheus-the aria with which she will close her operatic career at Glyndebourne in July.
