concludes a short season of films starring Steve McQueen with James Garner
Richard Attenborough
Stalag Luft North was - seemingly - escape-proof, the highest security camp run by the Germans during World War II. In an attempt to contain unwilling PoWs, the Nazis brought them together in one camp. Unwittingly they had assembled the finest escape team in military history. Adventure and excitement abound in this film, with its all-star cast headed by Steve McQueen , whose spectacular motorcycle ride is but one highlight of the film.
Screenplay by JAMES CLAVELL and . wR. burnett , based on the book by PAUL BRICKHILL. Produced and directed by JOHN STURGES. Films: page 10
