Ten programmes celebrating areas of excellence in the British arts. 4: Peter Gill
In the week that he takes up his new appointment at the National Theatre we profile theatre director and playwright PETER GILL.
Famous for his productions of D. H. Lawrence at the Royal Court in the 60s, and more recently for his work as Artistic Director at London's Riverside Studios, he is filmed rehearsing a new play and we see extracts from previous successes including A Collier's Friday Night and The Cherry Orchard.
