America's DAVID SANTEE and Japan's FUMIO IGARASHI , both outstanding free skaters, head the men's event. In the ladies' event the ladies' event the clear favourite is the American girl LINDA FRA-TIANNE, the 1977 World Champion, and in ice dancing Britain's JANET THOMPSON and WARREN MAXWELL will be measuring their current position in the world ratings.
