The Rotary Watches Ice International from Richmond Ice Rink
Skaters from seven countries including the USA, Soviet Union and Japan make this competition the biggest international skating event held in Britain for nearly 30 years. America's DAVID SANTEE and Japan's FUMIO IGARASHI , both outstanding free skaters, head the men's event. In the ladies' event the ladies' event the clear favourite is the American girl LINDA FRA-TIANNE, the 1977 World Champion, and in ice dancing Britain's JANET THOMPSON and WARREN MAXWELL will be measuring their current position in the world ratings.
