Few wildlife schemes have aroused more controversy than the project to bring back the beaver to Britain. There are weighty arguments both for and against the project. Could the beaver population get out of control? Would it destroy vast numbers of trees? What about otters and other rare mammals - would they suffer? Wildtrack launches its own investigation, and talks to the man behind the whole idea.

Written and narrated by Julian Pettifer.
Algeria is a country of the young. It has one of the highest birth rates in the world. It boasts its own brand of Moslem socialism stemming from the bloody revolutionary war fought against the French. It is a one-party state, which bans Communism, yet trades impartially with the East and West. Independent since 1962, the struggle for economic independence and national identity still continues. As one young Algerian said, 'It is easier to destroy colonialism than build a country.' So how do the young men and women of Algeria - more than half the population is under 25-view the future? Has the promise of the revolution been achieved for them?
