The Lawn Tennis Championships direct from the All England Club
While the rest of the international tennis scene still seeks a shape and an identity, the Championships today stride into their second century of what is unassailably the best tennis in the world.
Money alone is not the target for the ambitious young lions of the professional tennis circuit, although over a quarter of a million pounds in prize money is on offer. No, rather it's the distinction of winning tennis's most sought-after title under the toughest conditions. Bjorn Borg will be bidding to become the first man since Fred Perry to win three times in a row when he opens the defence of his singles title on the Centre Court at 2.0 this afternoon, and BBC outside broadcast cameras provide you with ' the best seat in the house.' The magic of the Wimbledon fortnight, the drama being enacted on the show courts, the stories behind the news are reported by DAN MAS KELL, PETER WEST , JOHN BARRETT , BILL THRELFALL and KEN FLETCHER. Harry Carpenter introduces the programme and provides the up-to-date results from the outside courts.

An investigation into the secret operations by Israel's intelligence services to get uranium for making the atomic bomb.
Panorama talks to the men involved, sometimes quite unwittingly, in Israel's plans - like the Dane who unknowingly became part-owner of the Scheersberg which ' disappeared' with 200 tons of uranium. In Washington a former CIA agent reveals how the Agency discovered that Israel almost certainly had the bomb and how one source of her nuclear material was probably in the USA itself.
