Goodwood House and the Dukedom began with a romance between Charles II and Louise, a French spy-and the dukes have been making colourful history ever since. The second duke turned highwayman-the third patronised the arts and built the house. The ninth and present Duke of Richmond became a racing driver and set up the Goodwood Circuit. The Duke and his family tell their story amid the art treasures of the house, on the motor circuit, and during the highlight of their year-Goodwood Week.
