Introduced by Harry Carpenter from Royal Lytham and St Annes GC, Lancashire
The most northerly of the great chain of famous golf links that fringe the Irish Sea in a sweep from Hoylake in Cheshire, Royal Lytham is sometimes regarded as one of the easier courses on the Championship rota. Nothing could be further from the truth: given even a moderate breeze, it presents a test of golf as difficult as any and is more than a fitting venue for one of the world's great golfing spectaculars.

The Flight of Penguins
The second of four reports from the Calypso on her recent visit to the Antarctic.
Sixty million years ago the ancestors of penguins flew; now their wings have evolved into flippers, and they can only ' fly ' under the water. Cousteau's divers follow the penguins' flight through the sea to the shores of Antarctica to breed.
Narrated by JACQUES COUSTEAU and HUGH FALKUS
Presented for television by CAROLINE WEAVER (from Bristol)
