Maiden Voyage Southampton - New York
Today, after successfully completing her proving trials, the Queen Elizabeth 2 leaves Southampton on her maiden voyage to New York This will be a historic occasion for, although hailed by many as the most magnificent ship afloat, with the very latest technical innovations and the maximum passenger comfort, she may well be the last British liner ever built to sail the regular sea routes of the North Atlantic.
