The small exporter and his overseas agent.
Presented by Denis Mitchell
(Shown last Sunday)
Accompanying pamphlet: see page 59

In July 1968 a Land Rover and trailer set off from a small factory at Slough on the first leg of an export mission to Germany. In it was Sir Alec Rankin, Sales Director of Laser Associates, whose task was to open up the German market for the Laser equipment pioneered by his firm. Today's programme features a film showing how he tackled export problems typical of those of a small firm.

Feature films with suspense, danger, excitement
Starring Lana Turner, Anthony Quinn
with Sandra Dee, John Saxon, Richard Basehart, Lloyd Nolan, Ray Walston

Matthew Cabot meets his death in what seems to be the perfect murder carried out by his wife Sheila and her lover Dr. David Rivera. Then an anonymous letter arrives proving that the crime wasn't so perfect and that someone else knows their secret. Suspicion falls on several people, and before the film ends several more lives have been ended or lie in ruins. The film is a splendid example of the 'woman's picture' which its director Ross Hunter produced so well in the 1950s and early 1960s.
