Feature films with suspense, danger, excitement
starring Stewart Granger, Jean Simmons
with Bill Travers, Belinda Lee

The plans of a murderer go badly wrong when he attempts to rid himself of a young servant girl who is blackmailing him...
Footsteps in the Fog is a stylish and atmospheric Victorian thriller somewhat in the Gaslight vein with Granger cast as the murderer. At the time this film was made Stewart Granger and Jean Simmons were husband and wife. They were first teamed together in Adam and Evelyn (already seen on BBC-tv). The supporting cast-list is notable for the number of well-known names it includes. This was one of the late Belinda Lee's first films, and BBC-tv's erstwhile Dr. Who, William Hartnell, plays a small part in his usual stylish manner.
