R. Gamble
Much interest has been aroused by the announcement in the Radio Times that Reginald Gamble was writing a book on bee-keeping. It is now finished. It is not a textbook but a light educational work and is being published with no idea of profit. Produced on the initiative of the National Federation of Young Farmers' Clubs, it is written by Gamble; photographs by R.V. Roberts; and Longmans, Green hope to publish it in October.
The question of distribution is not yet settled, but to schools and members of the Federation the price will be 6d. plus postage. The photographs will also be captioned and published separately, so that teachers may hang them round the wall and allow the children to see exactly what goes on in the hive before referring to the book.
