of the Netherlands
Illustrated talk by Henry Washington
The American scholar Edward Lowinsky drew attention some years ago to puzzling features in certain motets by composers of the Netherlands School, and proposed a startling and original solution in his book, which gives the talk its title.
Henry Washington explains and demonstrates with his choir, the Schola Polyphonica , the results of putting these theories into practice.
