Songs recorded in Nyasaland and presented by Peter Fraenkel of the Central African
Broadcasting Station, Lusaka
Peter Fraenkel has travelled many thousands of miles in the Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland recording African music for transmission from Lusaka. This group from Nyasaland, recorded on a recent journey, includes songs that are sociologically as well as musically interesting; for, as often in Africa, the words, in various matters, urge compliance with the ways of society.
