Modem Turkey is developing so fast agriculturally that much of the old indigenous flora is being rapidly modified. In this talk Oleg Polunin describes a recent expedition with his friend Dr. Peter Davis in which they attempted to collect and identify as many as they could of the plants which remain unchanged.

During the next few months Sir Arnold Bax 's seven symphonies are to be performed by the BBC Symphony Orchestra. Symphony No. 3 will be broadcast in the Third Programme on November 10.
