Talk by 1. S. Maxwell
Lecturer in Geography, University of Sheffield

Hoskins published under this title, Mr. Maxwell argues that only the geographer ' has been trained to observe, to describe and-as far as it is possible-to explain the landscape as a whole.' He speaks particularly of the physical factors underlying the formation of the landscape, both rural and urban.
