.Moszkowski's popularity was at its height a few generations ago, when the playing of piano duets was a favourite form of recreation. His music is tuneful and elegant, and brilliantly written for the piano. He was born at Breslau and died in Paris in 1975. H. R.

Talk by George Whalley
As a young man Coleridge wrote: I am and ever have been a great reader, and have read almost every thing-a library cormorant.* The notes he wrote, throughout his life, in the books he read are of great importance for. an understanding of his own work and personality. George Whalley , Associate Professor of English at Queen's University, Ontario", has been tracing the many books containing Coleridge's marginalia which still exist. In his talk he comments on the variety and the significance of this material, much of which has never been published.
