The speaker is Director of the Institute of Archaeology and Professor of Prehistoric European Archaeology in the University of London. In this talk he considers the first steps in the creation of an economy adequate to the exploitation of the unique resources of our Continent in the light of Graham Clark 's recent book ' Prehistoric Europe: the Economic Basis.'
