In this talk Mr. Powell expresses his further views on the subject and answers some of the points raised by Professor Titmuss.

It is three hundred years since the publication of ' A Priest to the Temple,' better known by its sub-titie ' The Country Parson, his Character and Rule of Holy Life.' Margaret Bottrall discusses the personality that emerges from the book and the light that it throws both on the Anglican temper and tradition and on the seventeenth-century conception of the ideal ' country parson.'
