Today is the fiftieth anniversary of the beginning of the siege of Mafeking. This talk, which gives an ' inside ' account of the siege and tells of the shifts to which the garrison was put to maintain its defences, was originally given twelve years ago by Lord Baden-Powell, who died in 1941.
