Harry J. Rowland has played in revues, concert parties, and repertory.
During the war he won the Military Cross at the second battle of Achiet-le-Grande, and he returned to civil life to form his own concert parties and revues. He produced and played fifty-eight different weekly shows, including his own pantomime, in fifteen months. His parts on the legitimate stage were usually comic character rôles; in his time Rowland has played with many of the best-known actors in the country.
Listeners who have heard broadcasts by Waldini will be interested to know that Harry J. Rowland produced Waldini's original Gypsy Band show at Roath Park, Cardiff.
