This choir, formed in September, 1926, is composed chiefly of mine workers. Gwilym Jones has conducted the choir since its inception, as well as conducting the Llanharan Male Choir and the Treorchy Royal Welsh Choir. The Pontypridd Choir has broadcast on several occasions, and has won over £1,000 in prizes at Eisteddfodau, and many fine trophies.
