This afternoon's broadcast will have poignant associations for the members of the Torquay Municipal
Orchestra, for it is to be the last of about 300 broadcasts from the Pavilion as it now stands. It is to be closed for an extensive scheme of alterations which are costing the Corporation something like £25,000.
