She made her debut at the age of eighteen at a Patron's Fund Concert under Dr. Malcolm Sargent. Since then she has appeared at musical centres all over England and Scotland, and has played chamber music with such well-known quartets as the Griller and Menges, with which last she often broadcasts.

with Billy Thorburn and his Music and H. Robinson Cleaver at the BBC Theatre Organ
It was said of H. Robinson Cleaver , who won fame at the Regal Cinema, Bexley Heath , that he came on the air one Tuesday evening, made a hit at once, and has been broadcasting ever since. For four and a half years he was organist at the Piccadilly, Manchester, broadcasting with the orchestra, and later he was solo organist at the Lonsdale Cinema, Carlisle. Eighteen months ago he .joined the Bernstein group of theatres.
Billy Thorburn and his Music are at present spending some weeks at a well-known East Coast holiday camp. Thorburn gave his first concert when eight years old, was a church organist at the age of eleven, and, after passing various musical examinations, bfecame an enthusiastic exponent of jazz. He was incidentally ' Uncle Jazz ' in the Children's Hour in the old Savoy Hill days.
