The Art of Caravanning
Veronica Johnston
Here is a talk for those who think of spending their summer holidays caravanning with a trailer. Many find it an ideal holiday, but for those who have never tried it before it requires a certain amount of planning and forethought, as Veronica Johnston points out. She will give listeners hints about hiring a caravan, the important question of size for their particular car, approximate cost, and so forth. Her talk is crammed full of practical advice.

So far in this series, talks have dealt with nutrition. From now on, listeners will hear about nutrition's first cousin-physical culture. It is not enough to give a man or horse a proper diet — each must have proper exercise. Dr. Carnwath will describe the relationship of physical culture to nutrition and discuss other aspects of national health.

(Accompanied by the Composer)
This evening Dorothy Helmrich is broadcasting for the first time since her return from a world tour that took her to Poland, the Baltic States, Scandinavia, Holland, the United States, Australia, New Zealand, and India. 'I have sung before every conceivable type of "mike"' she says, 'and in every kind of studio, from those of the BBC to the heavily draped tomblike affairs still to be met with in certain countries. But I enjoy broadcasting in all circumstances.'
Albert Mallinson, whose songs she is singing, is one of the most individual of modern English song-composers.
