run over the Clady Circuit, County Antrim
A Running Commentary by Graham Walker at Aldergrove and Raymond Glendenning at the Grand-stand
(Copyright. See notice on page 32)
In fourteen years this race has developed from a small amateur affair into a meeting that draws the attention of motor-cyclists the whole world over. Raymond Glendenning, one of the commentators, will describe the start and finish of the race as it appears from the Grand Stand near the Clady hairpin bend. His colleague Graham Walker - who is a former Grand Prix rider and a winner of many events - will be on the inside of Aldergrove Corner. This is a very tricky part of the course, and listeners will be certain to get many thrills from his commentary.

Here is a Variety bill with just the right mixture of laughter and straight entertainment.
There are CAMPBELL and WISE, a married couple whose verbal differences would be the despair of even the most optimistic matrimonial peacemaker.
There is a straight turn in APPLETON
MOORE, a singer with a fine voice, who will sing two songs composed by Ernest Longstaffe.
There is RAY MEUX-a nom du théatre-who this evening makes his debut on the air. He is a raconteur who manages to get across an unusually attractive personality with an artful artlessness.
There is WILFRED WORDEN-another straight turn. He is a versatile performer who, amongst other things, will play ' Liebestraum ' with the Variety Orchestra.
There is another microphone debut in the TOM KATZ SAXOPHONE Six. This act is Australian and though it has been performing for nine years, this is its first visit to this country. The ' Six ' are well-known broadcasters in Australia and New Zealand, and a special radio night at Sydney was arranged for them before they sailed. The organ-like tone they get in some of their numbers was noticed by the captain of the liner, and the second day at sea they were invited to play for Divine Service. They once gave a show in the centre of the Australian salt bush for the forty white inhabitants and several aborigines. They created a furore with the blacks, who had never seen a saxophone before.
And the other two items ? Well, they need little introduction. LESLIE FULLER will be Leslie Fuller , and WILL HAY will give another of his inimitable demonstrations of how not to educate schoolboys.

DOROTHY MANLEY AND ORCHESTRA
Arnold Bax 's ' Saga Fragment' was conceived in the form of a piano quartet, but the rough and turbulent nature of its contents suggested a broader treatment and the composer has therefore scored the piece for a small orchestra and piano-the piano part remaining virtually identical with that of the original.
