Leader, Louis Levitus

The Welsh Folk Songs to be sung by Lily Clatworthy in this programme have been collected by Mrs. Herbert Lewis during the past three years in Flintshire and the Vale of Clwyd. Many of the songs were in danger of perishing, and much painstaking work was necessary to induce the old people to recall the almost-forgotten songs of their childhood. In most cases a phonograph was employed to record the songs.

'Making Christmas Presents,' by Mrs. Vesta Gill
The number of things that can be made from simple materials is really surprising.
It is possible to make exciting things like sea-planes, dolls, railways, and farms. The work is most fascinating, and success is easy if it is tackled in the right way.

The coast-line of a country is not a fixture for all time, and in this talk Professor Rees will indicate the changes which have been taking place along the coast of Wales over a period of some hundreds of years. He will tell of lost lands and forests, lost ports and villages, and the legends which have grown up around them.
