The Welsh Folk Songs to be sung by Lily Clatworthy in this programme have been collected by Mrs. Herbert Lewis during the past three years in Flintshire and the Vale of Clwyd. Many of the songs were in danger of perishing, and much painstaking work was necessary to induce the old people to recall the almost-forgotten songs of their childhood. In most cases a phonograph was employed to record the songs.

The coast-line of a country is not a fixture for all time, and in this talk Professor Rees will indicate the changes which have been taking place along the coast of Wales over a period of some hundreds of years. He will tell of lost lands and forests, lost ports and villages, and the legends which have grown up around them.
