The Friends Service Council's present relief programme, which costs about £55,000 a year to maintain, includes rehabilitation work among refugees in Morocco, Austria, Germany, and Paris, and practical help for refugees and other needy people in various parts of Asia and Africa.
The Society of Friends, of which the Friends Service Council is a part, has been engaged in relief work for the past century and a half.
