The Baden-Powell Memorial Fund was inaugurated in 1941, at the time of Baden-Powell's death. Every year, 15,000 Scouts of all nations come to London. The opportunity to honour the memory of Baden-Powell and foster the ideals of the Scout Movement among the youth of the world is offered in the project of 4 Baden-Powell House,' as a common meeting ground where international friendship can be engendered.
Scouts have themselves raised nearly £200,000, but this must be doubled to build, equip, and endow the Memorial.
