Odd things are happening in Dunglass, where an atomic station has begun to operate. A foreign radio valve is picked up, flashing lights are seen, an aeroplane is heard droning above the Anchorite's Cave at night, and Willie's dog unearths a parachute. Then a container of explosive vanishes from the station and Miss Cunningham remembers seeing someone like Mr. Ingersoll walking away in a highly suspicious manner from Sir Wilfred Steele's office door.....
