Appeal on behalf of the Yateley Industries for Disabled Girls (registered in accordance with the National Assistance Act, 1948) by Joyce Grenfell, O.B.E.
Contributions will be gratefully acknowledged and should be addressed to [address removed].
The Yateley Industries was established to train girls with crippling disabilities to learn a trade and earn their own living instead of being a burden on their relatives and a disappointment to themselves. These girls come from all over Britain and now form a happy community in cottages adjacent to their workshop.
The work they learn is hand printing on fabrics. This is not only an interesting handicraft, but also provides beneficial exercise.
If the girls were able-bodied the industry could probably pay its way. As it is, it badly needs financial support.

To his horror, he finds that the dead at the Chateau d'lf have a thirty-six-pound ball tied to their feet and are flung into the sea. Luckily his dead friend had bequeathed him not only the secret of a great treasure, but also his knife.....
