2— ‛ Bound for Egypt ’
Produced by Peggy Bacon
In Egypt there is a mysterious well called Lem-Aki containing magic water that enables Bu-Bu the donkey to talk like a human. Bu-Bu has been kidnapped by Hussein, the donkey-boy, and brought to England to be exploited, but he escapes from Hussein, wanders the countryside, and makes friends with T.mothy, an orphan. They are joined later by Captain Boffin, an old sea-dog, and together they decide to return to Egypt to get a fresh supply of the water. But Hussein crosses their path again and, with his accomplice Mr. Mangus, tries to capture Bu-Bj and force him to join a circus.

Talk by Herbert Mace
His interest in every ditch and pond, gravel pit and spinney, in the district where he lives has given Mr. Mace a reputation for being somewhat eccentric but knowledgeable about the things that live and grow there. In the course of fifty years he has had a wide variety of insects and plants brought to him for diagnosis.
