September 7 is the anniversary of the first big London blitz. Since then innumerable buildings in this country, public and private, have been damaged or destroyed by enemy action. One has been chosen to stand for the rest-Westminster Abbey. This programme, in commemorating a year of wanton destruction, also. pays homage to a building which is the repository of English history and an acknowledged national symbol.
