There are two kinds of squirrel living in the British countryside-the native red squirrel and the larger American grey. Both are specially adapted for climbing and spending most of their lives in trees.
This programme shows both squirrels at home and illustrates the chief differences in their appearance, in the methods they use to build their nests, and in their feeding habits.
