Maurice Chevalier invites you to the Grand Opening of Cafe Continental for a Soiree de Gala and International Cabaret with Maitre d'Hotel Stefan de Fay at your service and l'Orchestre Continental conducted by Sydney Jerome.
The straw hat, the grin, the Parisian accent, the debonair air - in his essentials Maurice Chevalier does not change. He is sixty-six years old but has as much energy as any youngster - and more wit. His aim, he says, is to "bring a little sun". His appearance tonight is indicative of his enthusiasm for television: he is currently making a series of television films shot entirely in his Paris home which is hung with Utrillos, Renoirs, and Picassos.
