A play cycle by Iain MacCormick
Starring Walter Fitzgerald, Marie Ney, Eric Porter.
The action takes place in the District of Dalpore, India, in 1887

(Eric Porter is appearing in "Man of Distinction" at the Princes Theatre, London)

Eric Porter stars of the second play in the cycle by Iain MacCormick at 8.0 "The Little World"

In the second of Iain MacCormick's play-cycle the time has moved on from the Indian Mutiny to the end of the nineteenth century. John Robinson's eldest son Jock - a District Officer - is concerned not so much with his own career, or even with his family, as he is with a threat of famine which springs from the plans of the Indian landlords to change over from rice-growing to the growing of indigo. It is with Jock's struggle against the authorities, and with his imaginative skill in handling different races and different castes that this comprehensive portrait of a family in India concerns itself tonight.

Six films about the people and animals who live in the British Colony of Sarawak.
