Preparations are in progress for a fete champetre. The company arrives and into its midst strays a shepherd. He dances; and the noblemen and their ladies dance and stray off into the wood. They return and are indignant to find the serving maid dancing with the shepherd but the messenger of the Gods reveals two Divinities and everyone dances homage to the Gods
