Tonight's compere is not only a 'heart-throb' but also a naval type - appropriately so for a programme from Greenwich which has been a Royal Naval College since 1873. It is just two-hundred-and-fifty years since it was established as a hospital and the first seamen admitted. At one time 2,700 seamen were boarded there.
