Introduced by Eric Barker.
With The Billings Trio, Peter Cavanagh, Frieda Hall, Leslie Welch, Petula Clark.
From the Royal Naval College, Greenwich by permission of Captain C. H. Hutchinson, D.S.O., O.B.E.
Tonight's compere is not only a 'heart-throb' but also a naval type - appropriately so for a programme from Greenwich which has been a Royal Naval College since 1873. It is just two-hundred-and-fifty years since it was established as a hospital and the first seamen admitted. At one time 2,700 seamen were boarded there.
