A Canadian play by Ted Allan.

Tonight's play at 7.45
David is a bright boy. His father, who is a doctor, thinks so. His grandfather also thinks so. In fact, Grandfather Zaida thinks he is exceptionally bright - and is determined to bring him up in the orthodox Jewish tradition. David's father, on the other hand, simply wants him to be a Canadian.
Here is the conflict - acerbated by the fact that Zaida continues to carry on his business as rag-and-bottle merchant for which he needs the ancient horse he keeps in the stable adjoining the house-despite the neighbours' protests.
